Jakarta Provincial Government keeps trying to minimize tidal flood impact in north coast Jakarta.
The construction begins after Eid
Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said his side is about to construct dike in several locations to anticipate tidal flood. The construction is planned to start after Eid 2025.
Pramono added that the dike construction is one of the efforts to prevent tidal flood hitting areas in North Jakarta.
Jakarta Receives Boat Assistance for Flood Management"The construction begins after Eid. Hopefully the dike will prevent a number of areas in North Jakarta being inundated by tidal flood," Pramono said, Wednesday (3/12).
Pramono admitted he received report regarding tidal flood potential on March 28-29 in Muara Angke, Muara Baru, Jalan RE Martadinata, Cilincing and Marunda Pulo.
Responding the report, he instructed Water Resources Agency Head to do prevention.
"We have instructed Water Resources Agency Head to anticipate as well as do mitigation since the impact to hit areas like Muara Angke, Muara Baru, Jalan RE Martadinata, Cilincing, Marunda Pulo," he explained.
Pramono continued that he also appealed related agencies to prepare water pump and other mitigation efforts.

, related with the Weather Modification Operation (OMC), Pramono stated that the effort is successfully reducing extreme rainfall in Jakarta."The effort has been successfully reducing the extreme rainfall on March 10, 11, 12," he stated.
